Association IN SANA from Germany Visited the Foundation 

On March 28, 2024, the members of the women’s association “IN SANA” visited the Alija Izetbegović Foundation with their families.

The Association IN SANA – full name: Western Balkan Women Association e.V. – based in Aachen, Germany, began its work as an online platform for education and networking of women with roots from the Western Balkans and today represents a comprehensive association for education, personal development, integration and charity work. Alongside strengthening the social potential of women through training and community activities, the important pillar of the Association’s work are activities aimed at working with the youth in the Bosnian diaspora. The Association strives actively to strengthen the ties of the youth living in Germany with the country of their roots – Bosnia and Herzegovina. 

During the visit, which took place in a very cordial atmosphere, we talked about Alija Izetbegović and work of both the Foundation and Association, as well as the importance of diaspora, and discussed the possibilities of our cooperation which would ensure that the future generations in diaspora remain close to Bosnia and Herzegovina. 

We used this opportunity to sign an MoU and we are looking forward to implementing mutual future projects such as summer schools for youth, educational visits, exhibitions and other activities.
